I grew up in a nation state (Germany), but I live in Europe nowadays. That's how I feel, and, I guess, that's how many people in Europe feel. Due to the free movement of people and the common market, Europe is becoming a natural common living space for more and more people. This development is a challenge. We know the country's structures where we grew up, its social fabric, its political system. We often still know little about other states and their customs and often even less about European institutions. Good Morning Europe is about what we don't know. About the differences in Europe, mainly in economics (because I am an economist), but also in politics, culture, and customs. Because differences are interesting. Because differences are for reasons. Because knowing these reasons is a prerequisite for mutual understanding. – And understanding is essential for living in peace.
